Welcome to The Black Cat Observatory.  We are amateur astronomers living just outside Llandudno, in North Wales, UK.  This website is home to our passion for all things astronomical.  It's named after our late cat Tycho, who loved nothing more than running around the garden and getting under our feet whilst we were observing.

We are both Fellows of the Royal Astronomical Society and have both Chaired our local Astronomical Society - The North Wales Astonomy Society (www.northwalesastro.co.uk)  We are Ambassadors for the North West Astronomy Festival and Solarsphere.

The night sky is our place of refuge, relaxation and enjoyment. Our future is looking astronomically bright and we have many astronomy adventures ahead so here goes, let the black cat adventures begin.
